There’s not too much to say about this wedding that you won’t just see for yourself. An old friend, wedding, beach, Mexico, sunsets, parties, awesome couple. You get the point. Greg and I go back. Back in the 90′s, we were teammates on our town’s Little League team. We may have even been New York state champs (no big deal). It was crazy to be on a beach in Mexico at his wedding nearly 20 years later.
Check out some of our favorite photos from Dr. Greg and Dr. Anya’s beautiful Hotel Grand Paraiso wedding. And yup, they’re both doctors. They met in med school!
We always talk about how much we like our brides and grooms, it’s really important for us to find people who are easy going and just want to have a good time at their wedding. Kristina and Chris were exactly that.
They chose to get married in Long Beach on Long Island, right around the corner from where Rob used to live. We initially ran into them at a local barbecue restaurant and casually talked about shooting their wedding. Months later, there we were hanging out barefoot on the boardwalk we had spent all summer on.
We started the day at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, followed by a reception at Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park. Read on to see some of our favorites. Read the rest of this entry …
These days, whether a bride to be or not, you know weddings just keep getting more and more outrageous, extravagant, or even just straight up different. You see friends photos on Facebook. There are hundreds of wedding blogs. Try searching “wedding dress” on Pinterest and your computer may explode. New York Magazine put out it’s yearly New York Brides magazine yesterday, and in it featured a survey of 100 New York brides on what they’d do different. Was I surprised photography was one of the biggest single items they’d change? Absolutely not!
Flowers die. Details you slaved over and spent a week’s pay on went unnoticed – by you and your guests. Food gets cold. Weather at your venue is unpredictable. The cake…don’t even get me started on an expensive cake. But unlike all other vendors, we will be with with ALL DAY. And when will you have the chance to have a photographer follow you around on a day, that most likely, you will look your best ever? Surrounded by every person you care about under one roof. So if that wedding photographer you’d love to hire is just out of your price range, think of this. Do you REALLY need that hot chocolate station? Chances are you can make up for it somewhere in that budget. And it also never hurts to ask – we can get pretty crafty when negotiating a wedding. If someone wants us that bad, chances are we probably want to work with them too!
Yea, we’re photographers. And pictures are important to us. But the photos will last forever.
Hurricane Sandy was not stopping this wedding! Less than a week later, with much of the tri-state still without power, some without water, and many still without homes, the show went on. A welcomed distraction to the otherwise very chaotic week.
I’m starting to feel like a broken record, but Kim and Jason are an awesome couple and really could not be easier to work with. It’s great that we’ve attracted couples that really care about the photography, making our lives very easy. Spend half an hour in November outside in just a wedding dress. Sure, no problem.
We met Kim and Jason through Jason’s sister Jen, who at this point is basically responsible for half my clients, either directly or indirectly. Jen has became a great friend, so it was extra important to us we did not disappoint. Here’s some of our favorites from the day. Read the rest of this entry …
I know you remember these two from our Coney Island engagement shoot. Such an awesome couple! Their wedding was amazing, we can’t wait to share the photos. Stay tuned, they’re coming soon. In the meantime, check out Lindsay and Jason’s photo booth vid. ![]()
We hope you all had a great holiday and new year, and welcome to our first 2013 post. It’s been too long, but we have lots of photos to share from the final two months of the year. And what better way to kick it off then with Jackie and Andy’s Bronx Zoo wedding!?
A Bronx Zoo wedding, an awesome couple, and the fact that we have photographed (or are photographing) almost half of the bridal party’s weddings made this one of our most anticipated weddings of the entire year. I’ve known Jackie for several years now, and I owe much of my wedding career to her sister Jen, who hired me basically for my first “real” wedding. We had a blast celebrating with Jackie and Andy, and can’t wait for the next bridesmaid to get married!
Check out some of our favorites from the day, including the surprise semi-choreographed dance by Andy’s animal suited groomsmen to “In the Jungle”. Just check the looks on their face if you doubt this was a surprise. And unfortunately the big cats were already brought in by the time we showed up for photos. Not sure how cooperative they would’ve been anyway. Read the rest of this entry …
